Man tge 2025 batteries constantly going flat

Your advice to press the lock key twice stops this pump under the bonnet from running strait away on the second click :) your a genius!!!! how on earth did you find this out???

I also moved my Clayton feeds from the starter battery it now goes to the junction box behind the 2nd battery and up until now it dare I say it the starter battery is mostly above 12.6 when I check on the tracker app that I’m hoping is pretty accurate 🤞
You are most welcome, its nice to help out where possible. My van has had the under bonnet battery replaced with a lithium one inside so, mine is no longer standard factory issue. Now it charges the engine battery when the Lithium is charged which we were worried about before the Lithium upgrade. Our tracker app battery status is slightly different to what the van control panel reads. Not usually far from the same though.

Is your issue all sorted only I have the same issue.

I have a 2 week old MAN TGE converted by a volume manufacturer. It has the Clayton LB set up.Asfter just a week of non use, I have a totally flat SB.Tried the jump start mode on the Clayton and although it lights up the dash and starter engages, its not enough to turn it over.As the LB is full, I have put it on hook up overnight so the SB should get a charge.

Any advice appreciated.

Something in your vehicle has excessive draw and this needs to be fixed, please go back to the installer to have them figure out wherein lies the culprit. To me, as a layman, it might be that a consumer has been added to the SB circuit that should be turned off when the vehicle is put into 'off' mode, or the added consumer doesn't switch off properly. Do you by any chance have a dashcam wired into the SB circuit without a management switch? Usually you can add this to enable a shut-off at a certain Voltage to prevent battery drainage.
Do you have an Auxilary Battery under the hood? If yes, accessories should be wired into this circuit to protect the SB.

Yup I do have a dashcam on a piggy back fuse.I've removed it and monitoring although there was a warning light on the cbe control panel before I fitted it.The vehicle has a Clayton leisure set up so also wondering whether I can fit a battery master as also have an alarm and tracker.I did managed to jump start using the Clayton functionality but SB may have been damaged prior.

You found your culprit, the dashcam.

You have several options (more than these):
1: use a voltage based cutoff switch, independent of which battery you use to power the dashcam.
2: charge the SB from the LB with preferably an Ablemail trickle charger, keep the dashcam connected to the SB
3: run the dashcam off the AB or LB

In use case 2 you get extended dashcam usage which is what you want, unlimited dashcam recording. In use case 3LB this is also the case except when the LB is switched off for some reason. The SB will always be under power while driving.

In my case..

My dashcam seems to be faulty, in that it doesn’t switch itself off fully, it just goes into a loop restarting even with the ignition off. It’s five yrs old so time for a change.
