Sliding door rattle

Hi.....do others find their sliding door very noisy when travelling?
On fast, smooth roads its not a big issue, but on bumpy country roads the noise from the sliding door is quite deafening.
Every pot hole is accompanied with a disturbing rattle and crash.
Anybody found a remedy?

Ours doesn’t, it’s been insulated and lined with carpet and trims, no noise. Maybe it’s too loose when shut, some adjustments could be made to keep it tight against the rubber seal?

@gavandi

Check that you have the rubber spacer in place. It sits in a hole at the top of the slider at the rearmost edge.

It’s easily fitted and obtained off fleabay … if I can recall the name!

Just wondering if any one got to the bottom of this issue? I have the same problem, and the rubber stopper is in place. I think it the locking mechanism rattling against the metal pin on the edge of van.

Revive this thread a touch..
Kin sliding door rattle..tried everything...rubber bungs top and on...pulled the door in an top and bottom guides...May be the middle roller needs replacing.
It closes smooth and tight, but you can push the rear bottom of the slider in, slightly.
 cheers

I'm starting to wonder if its the pins behind the passenger front door that the slide door uses to lock in place, my bottom one has more play than the top.

Thought of that, but that would only pull the front in, may need a new roller...I even loosened the top slider bracket and push the door out....so the bottom would go in...no a chance, top just wasn't flush any more🤦‍♂️🤷
The T5 one was much easier
