Headliner Insulation

Given that it’s such a pain removing the headliner if I fit an extra shelf isn’t that going to effectively insulate from above? I’m thinking of even sandwiching dodo mat between two sheets of ply…

Sorry @Ken Watt , no it won't help. The wetness is caused by the damp laden air from humans occupying the van condensing on the cold steel of the roof. The only way to reduce that to an acceptable level is to insulate as close to that steel surface as possible.
Removing the headliner is not that big a problem if you view a few of the on-line videos etc, have the right tools to hand and take your time! An extra pair of hands is very useful to manhandle the liner down out of the way as when removed it is quite fragile.
It's also worth taking the time to think what wiring you may wish to add above the headliner before you start even if it's only four or five wires from the area under the left front seat to the centre front area of the roof as a precaution for the future additions, tracker, camera, control switch for something? All worth pre-planning for.

Thanks Rod, think we met on the T4 forum sometime back, you’re probably right I should just bite the bullet and remove it, I need Wolfbox and Auxbeam wiring at some point 😊
