VW Car dealerships supplying VW Commercial vehicle parts

I visited my local VW Car dealership Trade Parts counter (not TPS) yesterday and was told that they are now permitted to order/supply most Transporter/Crafter specific parts. There are exceptions like ignition keys etc. that have to be coded to the vehicle.

I've no idea if this option is country wide or perhaps only applies to areas where there is no local VW Van dealership.

I was also told that they are now an ID Buzz centre where we believed that was going to be a Van Centre only product a few months ago.

It's much better than when the car dealerships were not allowed to supply commercial vehicle specific parts.

My nearest VW Van Centre is over thirty miles away where as my nearest VW Car dealership is only six miles away and the parts staff understand enthusiasts.
