Hi all, have taken the plunge and upgraded the stock dials to a fancy digital dashboard on my 20 plate crafter.
Took a series of pictures whilst changing over which will help anyone thinking of doing the same.
It was very straightforward to remove the cluster and prepare the new unit. A little more fiddly getting the new display in and located but perseverance will win!
To make it fit, had to cut some of the rear plastic housing in the dash to fit, but the unit works a dream, no coding, all info retained.

Unclip steering wheel cover

Trim tool off clip on both side

Work around cluster surround with trim tool

surround removed

2nr torx head screws

Cluster removed by carefully rocking from top to bottom with a little force, mind your fingers when it comes off!

Remove all torx head silver screws around rear of cluster

Release white clips carefully to release motherboard, including one on each side not obviously visible

4 servos need to be removed. Label each one for future

Disconnect ribbon cable by gently popping up the black clips on either side

Remove the 4 needles using a trim tool underneath. Come off with a pop and a decent amount of pressure needed

Each servo has 2 clips. I used a small screw just to push the centre down

Pinch either side of each clip to release slightly and ease out each servo
