VW Crafter H3L5 4x4

Hi!
So here is my Crafter build. Its a 2019 L5 4motion with automatic gearbox. I haven't seen a lot of this combination around. I got a very clean van from auction - there was only one minor dent on the rear quarterpanel. 147kkm on the clock when i purchased it. Now i have added around 10kkm on top of that.
My idea is to make a hybrid of moto/campervan. I don't want to fit a divider wall between garage and salon area. Bed will be electrically lowered fron the ceiling (at the moment its only held up by straps).
Picking it up from the auction site :

Added 40mm lift and 245/75/16 tires:

Next were safari windows and roof vent:

Purchased an extra drivers seat and converted in to a single passanger seat and also added Audrio swivels (double seat will go in the back row).

I have also now intalled a chinese diesel heater under the floor and routed the ducting through the sideskirt and side wall. I wanted to keep leave as much room inside as possible - so i will thry to mount as much stuff under the floor as possible. In the future i will have to make a custom watertank (ideally about 100litres).

Power is coming from Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 and i now have fitted an 800w alternator charger. I added a 180AH LiFePo battery under the passanger seat and Renogy DC/DC charger aswellPXL_20250908_170852693.jpg

There is a lot more work to do. I have alot of boxes in the garage waiting to be installed (awning for example, solar panels, webasto parking heater for the engine, lights for outside and inside, table and shelves etc etc)

Nice van! If you are interested in getting a 133L and/or 110L underslung tank I can take them from Andorra this winter and whomever travels from The Netherlands to Lithuania (??) can take it on its last leg. I will buy both and put under my van.

133L

110L

I'll be picking up a set for myself this winter -and go snowboarding in Andorra- and if I can take a few extra along and split the cost I'm more than happy to do so. I already enquired for shipping to The Netherlands, it was around 600 euro's for two tanks.

Nice, i didn't know these tanks exist. They seem nice and use all the space under the car, exactly what i am after. But they say that it doesn't suit for L5. That is weird because i thought that difference between L4 and L5 is the rear section only. Wheelbase is the same in both.

Anyways i keep this offer in mind, i have a friend who could deliver it from Netherlands to Estonia (not Lithuania :) ) .

You're welcome! I would also think the sections between the wheel arches of the L4 and L5 are identical, time to do some research I guess. I'll ask them why the L5 is not listed as a direct fit.

Aha, Estonia it is :) Also on my 'go visit' list.

Which lift kit did you use and are they of good quality? Is there also a prop shaft lowering in the kit to keep the angles original?

I used Lift kit from Ukraine. It was ok quality, front suspension studs were crap, smaller diameter and didn't lock into place tightly. Shocks are still stock. But i won'd change them before they fail. Ride quality is good with them also. I am not going to do heavy offroad with this van - i wanted 4x4 to drive onto wet field or softer sand confidently. Also in the winter it will definately help to get through snow and ice.

I haven't added the prop shaft lowering kit yet. I will make it myself when i get to it.
