Transporter to Crafter?

Hi guys,

Just picked up a 22 plate 140 crafter on 60k with fsh.

Lovely van to drive, just to put my mind at rest and coming from a transporter, you can really hear the engine in the cabin. That aspect doesn't feel nowhere near as refined. I've never driven another one so nothing to compare it too.

Not rough sounding but just noticeably louder than I'm used to i guess.

Anyone else noticed this?

Thanks
Paul

Having owned three T4s, three T5s and a T6 and now a LWB Auto 177ps TGE I can confirm that the engine / road noise is greater in the TGE but I guess with serious sound reduction measures on the floor, what you can reach of the bulkhead, the wheel arches and the doors you will achieve a similar degree of sound level to that of a T6.

However there are so many things about the larger van in its favour I am sure you will grow to love it.

Thanks for your input. Its much appreciated. It's certainly a different drive all together. The biggest thing I noticed was how short the gearing is..1st is crazy short. Its wanting to be in 5th at 40mph for example which is madness to me haha.
