There are a few pictures out there of people mounting things directly to the H4's fibreglass roof (example thread here: Roof height), but I really could do with a proper roof rack for a roof tent and deck in addition to the normal AC, MaxxAir fan, solar.
I've tried Front Runner, part of Dometic group, and they've advised: "Unfortunately, none of our systems are compatible with your car. The bubble cannot withstand the weight and tears when the C-rails are screwed on it."
Is there a solution out there with either legs going down to the fibreglass/metal connection points similar to the attached (source: Roof rack, platform and accessories – TGR: Team Ghetto Racing), or the possibility to fabricate some metal supports internally to support the roof rack from the metal of the van, up through the fibreglass bubble?
