Cables running above sliding door ???

Hi all, what have people done with the (rear light?) cables that run across and above the sliding door - in terms of removing from sight.

I’m looking at slatted panels for the ceiling which will sit off the cross beams and won’t be low enough to hide the cables.

One thought is to drill out the existing holes in the top corner of the cross beam, splice each cable and rejoin?

Anyone had similar conundrum and found a solutions?

Yep, I did. It’s a particularly awkward place to screen of with what ever you choose to use. I ended up using some ash look polycarbonate panels and spent ages covering what cables I had there. Velcro is ok, but as I found over time due to vast temperature differences and the flexing of the van it comes unstuck!

Neat solution. Think that could work for me. Using slatted panels which can curve quite easily I think
