Argh!!!!! Dash lights everywhere…

Evening all,
2017 (April) LWB Crafter had a service last week, drove it home from the dealers without issue.
It’s been parked up since then, and today gone to drive away and one by one warning lights came on. It started ok though I’m told the battery isn’t holding full charge apparently when measured during its service.
First the lane assist unavailable came on, then the messages and dash lights as per the pics.

Turned around and by the time I was putting it onto the drive I barely had steering…. Engine sounds as if it’s running ok though.

I’ve emailed VW who did the service but wondered if you wise folks may have come across this before? Is it likely to be engine battery?!
Oh and even the fuel range kept fluctuating up then down etc!

Low battery voltages can cause a multitude of issues. First step should be to get the battery issues resolved, then scan and clear all fault codes, then see what happens.

Thanks @TonyL - I’ve just had an excellent AA engineer out who has tested the battery and alternor which are both fine - there seems to be a communication issue and all fault codes are ‘U’ ones which are data communications. If the cable controlling the alternator is removed it charges at 14.4v and when reconnected it drops down again. U111300 pops up a lot and U112300.
After clearing it gives U111300 again, and ESP fault will not clear.
I’ll call the dealer in the morning and get it booked in as I don’t know of anywhere else local to me in SO31.

So, it turns out all those error messages were a faulty ABS sensor - all fixed and working. Unfortunately I’m told it’s possible the others will also go - at least I know what it’s likely to be when it kicks out any alarms like that again.

On another note - is there a recommended OBD scanner that I can read fault codes with - I can’t afford the full VAGCOM (or whatever it is now), but wondered if there is a free/cheap app, and Bluetooth/wifi connector that people have found to be reliable?

Carista is quite popular cheap unit, it will scan and give fault codes etc that will give you basic info on issues you are suffering, its enough to tell you if an ABS sensor is playing up and on which wheel but engine faults etc can be a bit more limited info
