non starting

Hi everyone,
I'm after some advice with my 2018 crafter please.
it starts up and ticks over fine, then when you set off to drive then stop the engine cuts out and will not start, just cranks over.
it does come up with error stop / start .
A friend with a diagnostic plugged in and it came up with the code U105200 Alternator No communication.
Its had a new starter (was a bit noisey) and a battery
Any ideas or common issues

Alternator sounds a bit dodgy. Either failing or you got a connection issue. Van will start even with a faulty alternator but will probably cut if you start to drive.

hi, just joined to be able to reply.
I had the same alternator error, changed alternator and still had the same issue. It was then solved by a software update, I don’t know what modules maybe the can gateway..
But I’m interested if you have solved your non start issue as I also have similar/ same. Changed lots of bits and still have it intermittently, if I prime the fuel then it will start up straight away. I’m hoping you have fixed yours?
