New to the VW club and wondering if anyone can help shed some light on this problem I’m having with my 2010 Crafter.
I’ve owned it for about four weeks and in that time it’s been fine for the 300-odd miles I’ve put on it, but last week it went into limp mode with the engine management light on and then later the DPF light—fault code P2463 Particulate Filter Restriction. I’ve flushed the DPF out, driven it to force a regen and tried to delete the fault using three different computers now but it remains in limp mode.
The last mechanic who came out noticed there was also fault code J0028 Vehicle Communication Bus A, and he reckons that this communication fault is the main issue behind the whole thing. When I bought the van I did check for faults and saw this but as it drove fine I ignored it so I’m not sure whether it should be an issue now.
If anyone can help I’d appreciate it—my next stop is taking it to VW themselves :|||
