I would definitely be having a discussion with them.

What is the rear door issue?

What is the rear door issue?
Rear door issue is that the can gateway thinks modules are installed when they are not. As it's under warranty I'm not messing with it to stop VCDS trying to test non-existent items! I don't even know what doors could have modules in them, sliders or rear wing doors? There is nothing 'technical' in either on a standard van but perhaps there is on some special models, bus or ambulance for instance.
I've spoken to my MAN dealer about the telematics module battery but they seem very nonchalant about it. I'll seek more advice before I go in and 'put my foot down'.

I guess you mean the following
Code:
BB-Door Rear Drv -- Status: Cannot be reached 0100
BC-Door Rear Pass -- Status: Cannot be reached 0100
That seems to be the norm on Crafter MY17 onwards.
Although on Ross-Tech Forums can be found a couple which don't have these listed in Gateway section - possibly the owner's as VCDS users have adapted the gateway installation list - as majority of the scans do have BB and BC listed as non-reachable.

Actually, there even are scans with BB/BC actually present

Perhaps it's just an oversight in Crafter/MAN design/coding or just a way to standardise coding

What kind of numbers the module reports today? Has the fault been there always or was it absent at some point?

I'll have a look at the figures when I next get the chance to look and let you know.
