Trim leaking ??

At one time it was recommended to remove the side trims as they were reported to leak. Is this still the case with a new crafter or MAN TGE, or are they now better sealed?

The newer crafter and MAN are better sealed but still rely on a rubber washer which will eventually perish so it’s probably still worth sealing

Many thanks. As it’s a new Van I had thought of applying a sealant on the inside of the clips that stays flexible such as CT1. It looks a real faff taking the trims off.

Has anybody had any experience in fitting the rubber bungs prior to refitting the plastic trims as per one of the videos on you tube (@aBuckLife).
I’ve noticed with the rubber bungs in place the plastic clips holding the trim in place do not engage with the inside of the panel, and therefore the panels are just held by friction.
