Pub stop over. Free. Call them up for availability. They were full last night. 8 vans. Level, gravel, secure car park. Just have to eat and drink with them. Get in from 2 pm, out by 12pm.
Ale was nice. Food was filling and tasty, hosts were friendly and helpful. Would I recommend? Yes. Would I come back? Yes. (Probably next weekend)
It’s 100 yards to the Llangollen canal, and an hours walk into town, if you go slow. Shops cafes and great views. Then hop the bus back. £2 each. Stopped right outside pub. Can hike up to Dinas Bran castle (I didn’t) or along to the world heritage Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. Have a drink at the “Akky” been there too, just not on this trip.
The van must have a loo onboard but can use the pub loos when it’s open.
No fresh or waste water supplies. No electric hook up. Oh yes. Nearly forgot, it’s dog friendly too.
Next to A5. But didn’t hear traffic through the night.
