My baby 3 and a bit years in.

My French is very poor but if I understand correctly:

Yes it is lifted, as it is a 4motion and I go off road a lot I specified it from the factory with uprated suspension and increased capacity axles (2100kg front and rear) though it is still plated at 3500kg and with the 225/75/16 BFG KO2 tyres this made it about 25mm higher than a standard Crafter.

I then had fitted a Swamper Steel lift kit, I will point out that I am involved with the company and we use my personal camper as a test bed, we wanted to see how high we could practically go and ended up with 52mm rear and 62mm front, we also fitted a kit to even out the propshaft angles and another to reposition the original rear shock absorbers. It was not necessary to rework either anti-roll bar or bump stops.

This has been fine for over a year and covered just under 20,000 miles. It would be possible to go higher but even what I have risks wearing out the front CV joints quicker so though you can go higher than mine it is not really practical, this is why we limit our kits to 30 or 40mm lifts.

Sorry, Google automatically translated my answers...
Okay, thanks for your reply.
I also have a 4motion L4h3 with a 2100kg reinforced axle. I used the "Twin Monotube Proyekt KONI" lift kit, which raises it by 30mm.
It could have been a little higher.
See my photos.

Great van, after seeing your lovely minamalistic build (I'm envious) I won't be beating my chest and swapping pictures of my thrown together Wikes tongue and groove self build ;)

I have seen an advert for a 100mm lift kit but even at 52mm on the rear I had to relocate the brake pipes and the 62mm front was a struggle to fit, I'm not sure how they acheive 100mm. That said I would like a few more mm myself.

Safe travels and if you see my van parked up come say hi. Tor.

Why in a box, well Van Der Veer say it's waterproof and as it's bluetooth I could of mounted it almost anywhere under the van but I decided to mount it inside a storage box that I use as a step to get into bed (along with the breather tubes for both the haldex and diff) also it's an expensive bit of kit and I would rather not have to replace it especially as due to the lift kit it's now very easy to get under my van.

The plug/socket on the cable allows me to easily bypass the unit should the van go into the dealers for warranty work.

Good train of thought, I'm just starting with my van and will need to get breathers for all parts higher than they are now to enable wading through the occasional waters. Will have to make the Webasto fluid heater incoming air and exhaust pipes to include a swan neck like bend, akin to a stench valve in a sanitary setting to prevent water ingress into the heater. I might place my controller in the side of the van, but that is just an initial thought.

Raising my van is also on my agenda, but I'm not sure if I want to go with VB Full Air and a lift kit of OEM suspension and a lift kit. VB FA is ultimate but also pricey at EUR 9k (including fitment).

I have a set of 245/75 R17 wheels sitting at the dealer, waiting for the ECU to be changed. I am (one of) the first to request this tyre size in a Next Level van -which has more safety systems interconnected compared to the previous versions up to build date 2024 Q2- as it seems to be the default size in campervan land. Meaning the demand for this tyre size wil come when the major convertors start popping out vans.
