Manual Regeneration option

I’ve been playing around with the MAN TGE Configurator and under the menu headings: Interior / Cab / Instruments and Displays is the option for “Manual regeneration of the diesel particulate filter” for £239. The description for this is:

In short-distance traffic or at frequent speeds below 40 km/h, the exhaust gas temperature does not usually rise high enough to burn off accumulated particles in the diesel particulate filter (DPF). With manual regeneration of the diesel particulate filter, cyclical regeneration can be triggered manually and carried out while the vehicle is stationary. The DPF remains functional, repairs and downtimes are avoided. Complete particulate burn-off also enables longer oil change intervals. This equipment is only available in conjunction with other options and for vehicles with the EU6, EUROV/EUROVI emissions standard.

Apart from the fact that this option also requires the CFCU (Customer Function Control Unit - is this advisable for camper conversions anyway?) for an additional £472, is it a worthwhile option given the issues that some in the T6 world have had with clogged up emissions related paraphernalia etc (my T6 is petrol and I have never owned an EU6 diesel)?

If not, is the CFCU a good option for a camper conversion?
This can be found under the menu heading Equipment / Electrical System / Customer Function Control Unit.

I might be committing to a new MAN TGE order in the new year and as I will be able to decide the exact spec I want, I don’t want to miss out anything I might later regret.
