Good morning!

Have just joined the forum. In the process of planning a crafter conversion. Have had a self built T5 conversion for a couple of years now and recently converted a 5.1 but the time is fast approaching for something bigger .

Probably will go for a LWB to give give a decent sized fixed bed and washroom. Still considering layouts….

I am at where you are thinking of going. We are both in our seventies and been VW camper owners since the mid 1970s, our last five have been self-builds but age, agility and health pointed us to having a LWB MAN TGE converted to our own specification, here is what ours looks like now but still mods to be done.

Our last T6 was this one which is now sold.

Working on layout ideas, sketchup free is my friend .

Swaying between lwb and mwb, lwb is choice for maximum space but will take up huge driveway space. On the other hand mwb will fit nicely on the drive in place of my T5 but compromise on interior layout!
