Heated seats

I’m fitting retro heated seat pads I have tight fitting genuine seat covers could I put the pads between the seat and seat cover to save striping the seats down.
I never take the covers off but don’t won’t to damage the actual seat if the heat pad is sitting on it?.

Need to ensure you wire in this cut off timers after about ~10-15 mins.

I’d be more worried about the seat covers melting, but should get nowhere near that temp. Original seat fabric should be fine as the OEM seat pads are between the foam and fabric.

I got it done today and wired up
It work well but think I need to put them under the fabric as they get worm quick and there is basically nothing between the pad and me 😊.
Just for reference for anyone fitting them Wiring was simple as all the Sapir ports in the fuse box have a live to them that’s permanent and switched so just a spade connection as my kit had in line fuses fitted .

Looking for a set for the T6 but need timers as I have made the mistake with leaving them on in a old car I had.

These have a live and a switch wire so when the ignition is off they go off .
My camper van also has another kit that also goes off when the ignition is off .

I got the heated seat pads fitted under the fabric on Sunday I managed to do it without removing the seats so all is working well.
That’s that job finished and off the list 😊👍🏻

Sorry I don’t as I got them about 3 years ago and they just came in a brown box with no make on them. If you look on eBay I have seen them on there
