Battery conditioner over voltage

Hi all,

When connecting a battery conditioner - specifically a ctek in AGM mode, is it necessary to go directly to the battery terminals or is it ok to use the engine compartment jump start points..? Anyone know for sure..?

I ask as my battery got to 16 volts doing it this way...

I can't see any reason not to use the jump start terminals.

How and when were you measuring the battery voltage? I'm not familiar with the Ctek charger but someone who is may be along soon.
