Sliding door bump thingy..

Just a heads up.
I have a small device attached to the stainless runner on my slider, it holds the door in a half open position.

I bought it two years ago when they first appeared and for what it was it cost an arm and a leg @£36 ish if I recall correctly.

Anyway scroll forward to today.

Similar devices are available on Fleabay, made of nylon and much much cheaper.

This pic is just one example of what’s available, I’m sure ust there are others. BTW, I have no affiliation to the seller whatsoever.

All I know is that mine is so handy, we use it all the time and I wouldn’t be without it.

For £7 it’s a bargain

Gently abrade the surface with emery, brake cleaner to get rid of any grease, then araldite epoxy resin. Been in place two years ish..

I purchased the ally one and it is useless. The lip is too big and thus the door doesnt jump up.
I ended up 3d printing one instead. They are on thingiverse ;-)

Hmmm, my experience differs..

Mine’s ally and been fine
