Drain plugs

Hi, just removed all the sill drain plugs, about half a pint of water on each side!
I’m going to silicone the side panel fixings before I put them back on but question.. is it worth putting the plugs back in? Or do I just check for water from time to time? I don’t want to insulate until I know there’s no water coming in, then again, if I leave the plugs out it’s going to get water in from underneath……
Ideas??

Don't forget to take the bungs out of the bottom of the rear doors especially the right one as water gets into there via the external handle.
