Can I retrofit options that weren't specced ?

I'm looking at getting a Crafter or TGE from around 2018. I want most, if not all the drivers toys, Multifunction steering wheel and android auto principle among them!

However I've seen several vans without these toys and I wonder if It's possible to buy a second hand multifunction steering wheel and then just fit and code it and it works ?!
What about the head unit, is it as simple as swapping out the display unit ?

I recall how VW T4 vans and 901 Sprinters had everything excet the controls fitted, for cruise control. All you had to do was by the control arm, then code it using a scanner!

Yes most things can be retrofitted, MFSW and things like that are achievable but some things like LED headlights etc are very expensive so its worth looking at what things you would be interested in and pricing it up so you can factor it in when looking at vehicles
