Tyre inflators…..

Hi all

In this cold weather the tyre pressures reported on my lwb are dropping to just below the value the sensors are happy at.

Not an issue, but I’m curious - as I had previously tried to use my car inflator (and broke it 😁) on the crafter what do people carry to top up their tyres?

Does anyone bother, or just use the one at the garage? (I will also mention that I’d tried the one at my local garage but it broke too… which might have been coincidental or might not!). I was considering getting a decent battery powered one but wondered if anyone had a tried and tested make/model?

Thanks in advance as usual!

I have the same occurrence with tyre pressures on out TGE. On a cold day the tyre pressures can be as much as 5 degrees low but return to normal after eight or ten miles of reasonably quick driving and that's without weaving from side to side of the circuit 😄😄.

I also find that petrol station tyre inflation machines are quite often unable to inflate tyres to the required pressure, 59 & 61psi.

I echo your thoughts about a 12v compressor and watch with interest.
